Excellent in the 77/357
Holds i.5" at 100 yards in my 77/357. They get 2100 fps through...above the chrono. I was using the golden dot short butt bullets in mag cases using a max load of 2400. This year I plan to endeavor these on groundhogs. These should exist more explosive. The 110 grainers aren't equally stable at longer ranges.

King of the streets!
This round has been around for a long time and earned it's reputation equally a ane shot drop round in the 1970s when police officers would drib perps with a 98% success rate with i round! Massad Ayoob has written praises about this circular, it's a shame nosotros can't detect this ammo anymore.

Decent gets the task done
The only problem I have with this line is issues with product. I would similar to mention I bought this stuff at Walmart clay cheap for years before Walmart regretfully quite caring handgun ammo. I've seen boxes containing deformed projectiles with aptitude hollow cavity'due south and other blemishes. Some of these issues are related to the large volume and weight of the production and neglect in Transit. Other problems I recollect nosotros're merely it's a volume/disbelieve product. Yous really get a superior product from the HTP line. Federal and Winchester's sjhp's are good only lack the Scalloped Jacket which actually improves the performance of these. This is a good product but I would recommend the Remington HTP line over the UMC line.

Neat operation, easy to find, manageable recoil. Reliable expansion / penetration.
I know the FBI states not until effectually 2200 fps do yous get tearing from the cavitation, but I believe there is a lot to exist said for these velocities over the speed of sound. Fantabulous functioning. I shoot 100yds using a S&W 686-six Competitor with scope. Quite consistant performance.

I like this circular
This round is very loud at indoor range also produces large wink. Sometimes I get bored shooting 9mm but this 357 circular is exciting ! Information technology is also fairly accurate

Product and purchase process
I plant the Remington product item cost-competitive, and the buy process user-friendly and without tough hurdles other than usual required, documented credentials. I have used this Remington product before and find information technology relatively clean-burning so non barrel fouling...and hits tight-enough for my aim at 50-feet. I have not gotten to the range withal during this frigid, wind-howling Winter flavor since this well-nigh contempo purchase...waiting for Bound. Thank you, Lucky-Gunner.

Burglarize Round Reality!
I have used this ammunition for many years in revolver platforms. Information technology is likewise a fantastic cartridge for rifle and carbines chambered for the .357 magnum cartridge. I recently used this ammunition for zeroing a telescopic on the Ruger M77/357. I was able to produce a bench-rested 1.v-inch group at fifty yards later on final naught. Definitely not for the Tofu Crowd
This is i bad ___ed circular! I have been shooting this round for nearly 40 years and information technology still stacks up to the newer stuff. The last time I fired these rounds at the indoor range, I had a small audience wanting to know just what in the heck I was firing. Definitely intimidated the 9mm & forty SW crowd. While I recently "converted" to the 10 MM, this round is even so my "go to" load for open up comport in the woods. Tin can't say enough good things about it.

Ye Man-Stopper of Ye Olde-Schoole
Back in the day--say, 1974--the guys at Remington decided to take the 125gr JHP bullet they'd designed for the .38 Special and see how fast they could push it from a .357. Which turned out to be 1400+ f.p.s. from a 4" revolver, sometimes faster--some lots of this ammo have been chronographed at 1600+ out of a 4" revolver. Yes, the primers come up out pretty flat when information technology'south that hot.
This circular has always had a very heavy rep equally a manstopper, perhaps in role because dorsum in the 70s it was the but handgun ammo out there with expanding bullets that'd really expand in soft tissue. Fifty-frames, N-frames, or a GP100? No problem, hot ammo like this is what they're made for.

A: 1. I'1000 unaware of any states that ban hollow point ammo for hunting, but I encourage you to confirm with a conservation officeholder of whatever state you plan to chase in. 2. I know California bans bullets that incorporate atomic number 82 for hunting. As far as know anywhere that permits the use of pb bullets for hunting will permit copper jacketed bullets as well. 3. That is difficult advice to give during the ongoing ammo drought. I'd advise y'all look for (a) Black Hills Armament 357 Magnum 127 grain HoneyBadger, (b) Underwood 357 Magnum 140 grain Xtreme Penetrator, (c) Barnes VOR-TX 357 Magnum 140 grain XPB, (d) Federal Premium 357 Magnum 140 grain Barnes Expander, or (e) Hornady Handgun Hunter 357 Magnum 130 grain MonoFlex. I wish nosotros had any of these in stock for you! 4. Oh yes, I call up yous tin can manage that just fine with a rifle. The full general rule for hunting deer and blackness deport with a 357 Magazine rifle is to keep information technology within 75 to 100 yards. A: I think that the recoil will be stout Alexander, but very controllable.
